Bright Lights, Red Carpet and Greenroom: 2013 Oscar Style

AD-Greenroom-3The acclaimed film Argo was awarded Best Picture at the Academy Awards this year, but the stunning Greenroom at the Oscars was the real winner. Selected by Architectural Digest, Madeline Stuart (Madeline Stuart & Associates) was chosen to design this chic and stunning lounge. The Greenroom was adorned with Baker Furniture and the biggest stars in Hollywood today where it was a prime spot for celebrity interviews, presenter pre-stage prep and refreshment.

A key player in the Los Angeles interior design community, Madeline Stuart’s high profile clients include members of the entertainment industry and the world of business and finance. “Her projects reflect a collaborative relationship between architecture and furniture, function and form, client and designer.” Inspired by the legendary art director, production designer and Hollywood icon, Cedric Gibbons and her innate design abilities, Stuart created the Greenroom at the Oscars. Described as modern, tailored and sumptuous, this year’s Greenroom was reminiscent of 1930s Art-Deco style. Baker Furniture president, Austin Rothbard had this to say about the collaboration: “We are pleased to once again partner with Architectural Digest to bring Madeline Stuart’s Green Room to life in a most elegant manner. Baker has been handcrafting fine furniture for over a century. Both the Oscars and Baker have earned and enjoyed global recognition, yet ultimately, we are hallmarks of American design.
