A Sterling Reputation: Aston Martin at Home

Aston Martin may have turned 100 this year, but the iconic British brand is far from outdated. To celebrate this significant milestone, the luxury sports carmaker recently debuted its newest line of engineering excellence. It’s sophisticated. It’s stylish. It’s silver. It’s not a car.

In January, the company unveiled its latest contemporary creation at the Maison & Objet Paris trade show, revealing Silver by Aston Martin, a collection of luxury housewares as sexy as James Bond.


To kick off its centennial year in grand fashion, Aston Martin teamed up with Grant MacDonald, one of London’s most renowned silversmiths, to create a line of luxury home goods as stunning and stylistically powerful as its internationally revered sports car line. The collaboration resulted in a spot-on fusion of classic craftsmanship and contemporary design worthy of the silver-winged logo.


Silver by Aston Martin is divided into six categories – Eating, Drinking, Travel and Picnic, Gifts, Models, and Bespoke. The upscale line features a variety of elegant lifestyle products inspired by Aston Martin’s three hallmark elements: power, beauty and soul. Decanters, candlesticks and cutlery sets, to name a few, are handcrafted from multi-colored precious metals such as sterling silver, 24-carat gold, platinum and black ruthenium. The Centerpiece Bowl (above) and the Quantum Dining collection (below) exhibit this striking metallic melding within each design.


In March, Silver by Aston Martin will launch its luxury picnic hamper at the Geneva Motor Show. Like every product bearing the Aston Martin name, the wicker hamper is loaded with the finest quality materials – rich saddle leather, fine bone china plates, a Scottish lambswool roll-up rug, crystal champagne flutes, a rosewood corkscrew, stainless and resin utensils, an Irish Damask linen tablecloth, and more. Getting your hands on this picnic ensemble may not be a walk in the park, but it sure is worth a try.
